Investing in Kansas City's future

At Treasure KC, we believe in the power of our community. Discover how we're committed to circulating funds back into the heart of Kansas City, supporting the projects that truly make a difference, block by block, family by family.

Empowering our neighborhoods

We're dedicated to funding Kansas City groups doing real, hands-on work. This includes youth programs, sports leagues, neighborhood cleanups, safety projects, school support, workforce training, food security initiatives, and organizations assisting families with housing and utilities. When we invest in our kids, stability, and safe neighborhoods, the whole city rises, ensuring funds circulate directly back into our community where it matters most.

Your voice, our impact

How Community Funding Decisions Are Made

1. Apply or Get Nominated

Local nonprofits and community projects submit a short proposal (who you are, what you’re solving, budget, timeline, and expected impact).

2. Eligibility + Verification

We confirm basic legitimacy and readiness (local footprint, documentation, clear plan, and ability to deliver).

3. Board Review (Governance Oversight)

A 5-member governance board reviews proposals for alignment, feasibility, and community value. (One board seat is held by a Treasure KC employee.)

4. Community Vote to Select the Top 5

Members vote to identify the Top 5 finalists.

5. Random Final Selection From the Top 5

The final winner is chosen by a random drawing from the Top 5 to keep it fair and transparent.

6. Funding Agreement + Release Schedule

The winner signs a simple agreement covering approved use of funds, timeline, and required proof/updates.

7. Public Updates + Outcome Reporting

Winners provide straightforward results updates, and we post a summary so the community can see what was funded and what changed.

Visible change, lasting solutions

Our vision for Kansas City is a future where families are housed, emergencies are fewer, and real opportunities abound. We aim for youth programs to thrive, neighborhoods to be safer, streets cleaner, and more people to receive help before crises escalate. We envision local nonprofits and small businesses building lasting solutions, creating visible change you can feel across every block, for every family, year after year. Join us in building a stronger Kansas City.
