KC Speaks. The Record Stays Straight.

Treasure KC hires, trains, and deploys its own field researchers to conduct structured surveys in Kansas City neighborhoods. Staff follow an approved survey instrument and collection protocol, and records return for quality review before aggregate reporting. Raw answers and personal information stay private. After a Treasure KC field researcher conducts a survey, a resident may optionally provide an email address to join Treasure KC and receive one entry in the weekly sweepstakes. Providing an email and joining are not required to participate in the survey. After joining, one qualifying in-app action per day adds one entry, up to seven entries in one week, for the Monday 7:00 p.m. Central Time drawing.

  • Source-labeled: every record keeps its question version, collection method, UTC submission time, and approved neighborhood context.
  • Quality-reviewed: records can be approved, rejected, corrected, disputed, or archived with a documented reason.
  • Proof-anchored: a planned cryptographic receipt protects an approved record state; it does not publish the answer or prove every statement is true.
  • Privacy-preserving: k-anonymity enforced — individual responses can never be isolated.
  • Zero PII on-chain: name, email, address, and response content never touch the ledger.
  • Approved aggregate reporting keeps the sample, method, collection period, geography, exclusions, and limitations attached.
  • Field-team applications are handled externally at TreasureNetwork.org; this website is not a survey or application form.

The Problem It Solves

Kansas City deserves more than somebody else's guess. Treasure KC's plan keeps the question, source, timeframe, neighborhood context, review status, exclusions, and limitations attached so a polished headline cannot replace the underlying evidence.

What Goes On-Chain

  • UTC timestamp of response submission.
  • GPS neighborhood hash (ZIP-code level, not street address).
  • Anonymized member ID (cryptographic hash — not your name).
  • Response hash (proof the content was submitted, not the content itself).

What Never Goes On-Chain

  • Your name, email address, or phone number.
  • Your street address or precise location.
  • Account numbers or financial details.
  • The actual content of your survey response.
  • Any personally identifiable information of any kind.

Privacy Architecture

  • k-Anonymity: insights only reported when a minimum group size is met — individual responses can never be isolated.
  • Neighborhood-level only: location anchored at ZIP-code level, never street address.
  • Cryptographic separation: identity replaced with a hash before touching the ledger.
  • Data stays in KC: survey insights inform local funding, coverage, and resource allocation — never sold.
  • Opt-out, zero penalty: members can opt out of data sharing anytime with no effect on TKC earnings.
